The Purpose Of Resurrection

Winners’ Chapel International - Meru

Easter Sunday Service - Sunday – 8th April 2012 (2nd Service Teachings)
Prophetic Focus:  I Am Riding The Waves Of Glory By The Holy Ghost” Joel 2:21 - 27

TOPIC – The Purpose Of Resurrection
Jesus Died And Resurrected And Was Seen By Many With Infallible Proofs.
Acts 1:3 - To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

What is the purpose of His resurrection?
What is the essence of His resurrection?
What is the real virtue of His resurrection
What does His resurrection symbolize?
What does His resurrection represent?

The resurrection of Jesus Christ represents change of position.
No matter how deadly your situation is, the power of resurrection can change that.

Example of Lazarus
John 11:21 – 26, 33 – 35, 39 – 40, 44 - 45
21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26    And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,
34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.
35 Jesus wept.

39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go
45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

Many Bodies of Saints Arose When Jesus Resurrected.
Matthew 27:50 – 53
50 -Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 - And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 - And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 - And came out of the graves AFTER HIS RESURRECTION, and WENT INTO THE HOLY CITY, and appeared unto many.

What we see from this account
1.    Barriers were broken (verse 51)
2.    Many graves were opened (Verse 52)

- They came out of the forgotten end of the earth into the city!

God will change your case.
You will not be listed among the dead any more!
You will not be listed among the sick any more!
You will not be listed among the confused any more!
You will not be listed among the debtors any more!

Any one trying to look for you in such a list will be told WHY SEEK YE THE LIVING AMONG THE DEAD?”
Luke 24:5 ……
WHY SEEK YE THE LIVING AMONG THE DEAD?

If they had seen you there before, they will be told,HE IS NOT HERE, BUT HE IS RISEN!” - Luke 24:6 - HE IS NOT HERE, BUT IS RISEN:

By The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ, We Are Raised Together With Him.
Ephesians 2:4 – 6
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 AND HATH RAISED US UP TOGETHER, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
