sanctified; but the Bible says we cannot be sanctified except we pray (1Jn 1:9-10, Matt 26:41)

Again, tradition says we cannot be empowered by the Holy
Spirit except we are pure; but the Bible says we cannot be thoroughly purged
except we are empowered by the Holy Spirit
